The plot follows Batman and the Justice League as they try to stop Lex Luthor from becoming president. Supervillains are also playable in some stages, letting players use characters such as the Joker or Catwoman. The story never takes itself too seriously, offering a wacky plot that can be enjoyed by players of any age. The voice acting is also a notable step up from the usual mumbles that we saw in Lego Star Wars , delivering better jokes and more personality to each character.

A notable aspect of Lego Batman 2 is its powerful soundtrack. That said, it is still a step above what we saw in previous Lego games, where original music was nearly nonexistent. Lego Batman 2: DC Super Heroes is the rare title that can be enjoyed by players regardless of their age.
