After playing through War of Cybertron and Fall of Cybertron, I was excited to play a new game in the series.

Yet, when I found out that it was a tie-in, I was skeptical. The gameplay is copied verbatim from fall of Cybertron. Not necessarily a bad thing, but it shows a lack of innovation. Even if you liked the movie that this is connected to, it’s very poorly executed when it comes to storytelling.

The gameplay is sharp and stimulating enough that I completed it, but I have no desire to play again. Ultimately, the game isn’t bad, but it’s not good either. It’s just mediocre and really could have been much better. Worked perfectly. One person found this helpful.
